Your trust matters to us, and so does your privacy. This explains what information we collect, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email hello@themothercraft.com.
1. Who we are
Mothercraft, created by Victoria Greer, is the controller of your information. Contact us at hello@themothercraft.com.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us — your name and email when you buy, subscribe, take the quiz, or get in touch; the birth details you provide for a reading; and the content of any messages you send us.
- Payment information — handled directly by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Quiz responses — your result and email, so we can send your result and relevant follow-ups.
- Basic technical information — collected automatically through cookies and your browser, such as general usage of the site (see the cookie section below).
3. How we use your information
- To deliver the products and readings you buy.
- To send the emails you've opted into (your quiz result, your free guide, occasional notes and offers), which you can stop any time.
- To respond to your messages and provide support.
- To run and improve the site.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
4. Email
We send email through MailerLite. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out whenever you like. We will never sell your email address.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores on your device. We keep them to a minimum:
- Essential cookies that let the site and the secure Stripe checkout work properly and safely.
- Google Fonts, which loads our typefaces.
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as checkout, from working.
6. Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We share it only with the trusted services that help us run Mothercraft, each of which handles data under its own privacy terms:
- Stripe — payment processing.
- MailerLite — email and the quiz list.
- Netlify — website hosting.
- Google Fonts — typography.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide our products and services and to meet legal and accounting requirements, then we delete or anonymize it.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@themothercraft.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (UK and EU) or the CCPA (California), including the right to object to certain uses and to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
Our products and site are made for parents and other adults; they are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. When you provide a child's birth details for a reading, you do so as their parent or guardian, and we handle that information with particular care and use it only to prepare your reading.
10. Where your information is handled
We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed there and by our service providers in other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for any international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its "last updated" date, is always the one posted here.
