I'm Victoria, and I didn't learn this work from my children. I'd been studying it for the better part of two decades, since my own body sent me searching at seventeen, long before there were any babies. Then life handed me a surprise pregnancy, twins, and two stepchildren inside of three months, and gave everything I'd already learned somewhere it finally had to live.
When life turned its own spectacular kind of upside down, I understood something I hadn't before: I'd been preparing for these roles my whole life. The tools I'd built a career on, and the ones I'd used to find my own way back to health, were the exact ones I reached for as a mother and a wife.
I had all of it to lean on through the hardest season I've known: the crossing from maiden to matriarch, and the central weight of mothering inside a family that was, like every family, its own particular kind of insane. Mothercraft was born there.
My maiden story is the foundation of my matriarch one. It holds the training, the experience, and the wisdom I now lean on every single day of mothering.
At seventeen, I became very unwell. The illness was complicated, and it's a story for elsewhere, but it pulled me straight into the world of the healing arts. First came Human Design and the Gene Keys. I was one of the earliest students of both, these modern renderings of the archetypal wisdom held in the ancient Chinese I Ching, which I studied too. They gave me a profound understanding of myself, of relationships, and of the world. What they didn't give me was a cure for a very physical illness.
So I kept going. Nutrition, then medicine and naturopathy, functional biochemistry, neuroscience. My illness felt so "of the body" that I was certain expertise in these fields, fully qualified and practicing, would be the answer. I was wrong. I reached a kind of health, but my body and my life were "managed," not lived.
And things kept going wrong. I could not find my footing.
Each time I learned a new art, or science, I discarded the one before it as a failed attempt, a solution that "didn't work."
It took me fourteen years to see that the wisdom was never in any single piece. It was in the synthesis. My career in Functional Medicine wasn't wasted at all; I became a far better practitioner, and saw far greater change in myself, once I wove in coaching built on attachment science, trauma integration, Somatic Experiencing, and (eventually, and this one took me a while to sit easily with) archetypal wisdom.
This way of understanding how we become and inhabit our humanness, across every layer of us, from the body to our relationships to our sense of the divine, became the bedrock of a serious clinical practice.
It was also my manual for living. I wasn't only practicing in these realms professionally; I was a professional in them because it was, and still is, how I live.
And I thought that was the whole of it: a life spent building healing containers for other people moving through their suffering and into their becoming.
Then I met my husband.
Our relationship has been the stuff of movies. Not for the fairytale, though there's some of that, but for the drama, the calamity, and the crisis that has run alongside us since the day we started dating.
I fell pregnant after six weeks. We already knew we were life partners, so it was never a question of commitment, only of logistics. Then we found out it was twins.
I hadn't even met my stepchildren yet; on the first timeline we were given, I wouldn't have met them until two months after the twins arrived. Instead they came into our home in March 2025, and so, inside three months, I became both a stepmother and a mother of twins.
My stepkids were with us the week my twins were born, and stayed through the second month of their lives. (Yes, really. Any multiples mama reading this knows exactly how ridiculous that is.)
Something grew clearer with every week of it. Nothing tests your capacity like this kind of family life. Nothing examines your nervous system like this kind of initiation. The shift in who you are, in the shape of your family, your relationship, your whole reality, alongside the legal and co-parenting weight a blended family can carry, is a real and serious test.
These were not small things. We met them, and survived them, with the grounding my early life had given me.
I would not be anywhere near as okay, a year into mothering twins, without my familiarity with my own nervous system and the self-awareness I fought hard for. My children and stepchildren would make far less sense to me without what I know of attachment, trauma, and the dynamics of parenting. My Human Design training is coming alive in front of me, and it's a joy to watch these humans become themselves: the Signature, the Sensation, the sibling bond they're growing into.
But it hasn't been easy just because I came prepared. It has been the deepest, most profound welcome into new layers of being human. Through Mothercraft, and through my Instagram, @mrsvictoriagreer, I want to share the real of it: the impacts, the awarenesses that arrived unannounced, and the literal cluster-f it has been half the time. This isn't a place to lecture you, or to pretend I have it all figured out. I don't. What I have stepped into owning is that I know things that genuinely help mothers, and fathers, parent the humans they're here to nurture.
Mothercraft exists to support the most important ship in the fleet: you, the mother (or primary parent). Not because you can do it all, but because you shouldn't have to.

My work moves through three domains. Each one rests on years of real training, and together they let me read a child, a parent, and the bond between them as one living picture.
A precise map of how a person is wired to take in life and make decisions. It shows where a child is consistent and reliable, where they are open and absorbent, and how they are built to meet the world.
The archetypal, developmental layer beneath the design. It reads our gifts and our growing edges as a living sequence, naming who we are becoming rather than fixing who we are.
The I Ching and the older symbolic traditions these modern systems grew from. It gives the whole picture its depth, the timeless patterns a human life moves through.
The body read as one connected system rather than a list of symptoms. It asks why something is happening, tracing mood, behavior, and regulation back to what the body is actually doing.
A gentle, evidence-based approach to how stress and overwhelm get held in the body, and how they can complete and release. It works with the nervous system's own pace, never against it.
The study of how our earliest experiences are organized in posture, gesture, and sensation. It treats the body as a record of every relationship that has shaped us, and a place real change can begin.
How safety is built, ruptured, and repaired between a parent and child. It explains the quiet cycles of connection that shape whether a child feels the world is safe.
The brain science of emotion and co-regulation, why a steady nervous system in the room helps an overwhelmed one settle. It is the biology beneath "your calm is contagious."
The patterns that form between people in a family: the roles, the loops, the unspoken agreements. Working here means seeing the whole system, not just one person to fix.
